This statement bugs me, too, and has for some time. It's bullshit. I wrote about it a while back. I even asked for uncut video footage. No takers.



Aging or disease, but they don't switch colors back and forth. My mom's eyes have gone from green to blue as she's gotten older...but they stay blue!



Either they are lying, or, in my kinder moments, they are witnessing different light sources at differing times.

I was asked recently what I mean when I say that I do things without regrets, I guess another way to put it is ‘’ I'd rather regret the things I have done than the things I have not,’’ this of course goes hand in hand with that well used phrase that ‘’everything happens for a reason,’’ this particular phrase seems to get used without thought of feeling, it’s used more as a ‘cop out’. I still believe that the ‘happenings’ used here are still up to us and not in the hands of fate; I also believe the ‘reason’ is something that we manipulate for our own uses.

Oh dear, I just died on ‘Mobsters’,this was the resulting message, ‘’ You lost the fight, taking 20 damage and dealing 9 damage to your enemy.’’

You never know who you truly are till you face your most trying circumstances, it’s been said that often you don’t know who you are till you take your last breath.

We all get lonely.. even if we are surrounded by our best friends or family, we feel alone. The human mind is a strange thing. It yearns for companionship and yet treasures those moments of silence. I like being alone sometimes, it gives you a chance to gather your thoughts, re-evaluate the choices you have made and in the process helps you get your act together.

Human beings are social animals, we aren't designed for loneliness and hence we end up looking for someone- anyone who will be there to hold our hand through the tough times, who will be there to make us smile at the end of a rough day, who with one hug will tell us that everything is okay. Everybody needs assurance but quite often .. and here's the glitch .. it comes from bad choices. Bad choices of people we choose to trust.

I have learned that the loneliness that comes from being with someone who is not right for you definitely exceeds being alone. I have made this mistake in the past, it made me cry but I didn’t regret it. Crying, feeling any emotion made me feel human. I read somewhere that all endings are also beginnings and we just don’t know it at the time.

I know it now; It hasn't been blissfully perfect and I’d rather it not be.. because it’s perfect just the way it is.

I'm glad VR isn't advertising that film/series anymore I could never quite adjust to that colour code. I realise it's important to gain revenue this way but........ well it's good to have comfort in that which is familiar. In this case, 'better the devil you know.'' lol

It's lucky everything was backed up, so it's not a big deal, just as long as she has learnt a lesson.

But I have faith in her and know she will be a great asset.



Like with many people on VR I put my trust in them and give them a chance to prove themselves. There are truly only a handful of people I talk to these days because of one thing or another. These are my treasures and keep me returning to VR for just that 'little bit more.'

You get my 'all' until you show me an agenda I don't like.

I am organising my finances a little differently this year and decided to open a new account.

My new credit card arrived this week and it said I needed to phone a number to activate it.

What could be simpler?!!!!! HA ...

After being kept waiting for about 15 mins whilst ‘a voice’ tells you to push this number and that, I eventually got put through to a ‘real voice’.

I was greeted with a warm ‘’how can I help you?”

Me: “I’d like to activate my new credit card please”

Voice: “you need to deposit money into the account to do that”

Me: “oooooK, can I transfer some money from my other account?”

Voice: “No, the card needs to be active to do that”

Me: “But, but, isn’t that why I rang?”

Voice: “the only way to activate a card is to have funds deposited”



I won’t tell you how this conversation ended but suffice to say I was in town this morning and have opened another account with a different bank and will be closing my other accounts (with them) once I receive a reply from my letter addressed to their head office. They have wasted my time, had I have messed them around like this I would have been charged for it. If they are that incompetent I really don’t want them dealing with my money!

We had our first real dusting of snow this morning and it's very slippery under foot. I must say it does look pretty thou especially when the sun sparkles on it.

There was a time when I would have said that this is my favourite type of weather. Bright and freezing cold has a fresnness and it keeps the germs at bay just as long as it stays dry.

I would love coming in from the cold to a cosy warm home and snuggle up and listen to some music or read.

But now I wish everyday was warm and sunny ... the one aspect of growing old I hate.
